NCDEX has turnover of Rs 27.01 Billion

The National Commodity and Derivative Exchange’s daily turnover reached Rs 27.01 billion, with 2,075 users participating in trading on January 29, 2009.  More than 113,727 trades took place, with some of the highest trades being Soya bean, Soya Oil, Sugar, Rape Mustard Seed, and Guar Seed.  Yesterday, Chana and Turmeric also served as high trades.

Turmeric Futures Rise on Wednesday, after Falling on Tuesday

Turmeric futures finally rose Wednesday morning, signifying fresh buying.  The NCDEX Turmeric April 2009 contract opened at Rs 3641 and hit a high of Rs 3667 per 100 kg.
